Peterson, 68, of Three Springs, died at 2:16 a.m., Friday, August 11 at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 14 at the First Baptist Church, Three Springs, with David Ford officiating. Interment was made at the Three Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. She was born on October 11, 1937 in Ferguson Valley, Mifflin Co. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Faye (Traxler) Shehan. She was married to Dale G. Peterson on April 28. 1956, at the Beech Run Church of the Brethren, RD, Mapleton. Mr. Peterson preceded her in death January 7, 2002. Mr. Peterson is survived by one son: Alan D. Peterson and wife Robin, of HCR 74, Shade Gap and also two grandchildren: Joshua and Kali Peterson. One sister and one brother also survive: Barbara Hand of Mount Union and Dennis Shehan of Mapleton. One daughter Amy Jo Peterson and two sisters, Mary Ann Arnold and Shirley Smith precede her in death. She was employed for approximately 20 years by U.S. Sports, Huntingdon. Mrs. Peterson was a member of the First Baptist Church, Three Springs where she served as a deaconess and an assistant Sunday School teacher. The Valley Log, Orbisonia, PA, August 16, 2006
