Mrs. Adrie Ann Porter died at her home, in Neffs Mills, on Wednesday morning, 
April 29th, at 4:45 o’clock, after an illness of two years although she had 
been bedfast for only two weeks.  Death was due to complication of diseases.
The deceased was born in Barree township on February 4, 1856, the daughter of 
Lewis Hutchison and Elizabeth (Thompson) Porter.  She was a life-long resident 
of Shavers Creek Valley and a faithful member of the M. E. church of 
Mooresville.  Her husband, David Porter, died on April 1, 1925.
Surviving are two sons, Vernon L. Porter, of Neffs Mills and Leroy Porter, of 
State College.  She is also survived by two sisters, Miss Laura Hutchison, of 
Neffs Mills and Mrs. Sara L. Graffius, of Swissvale, one brother, Edward 
Hutchison, of Neffs Mills.
Funeral services will be held in the Mooresville M. E. church on Friday at 
2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. J. G. Rigby assisted by Rev. J. B. Meloy with 
interment in the Mooresville cemetery.  The body may be viewed at the late 
home any time prior to the service.  Temple’s service.
