Postlethwaite of 19 Lynnfield Dr., Morris Township, Morristown, N.J., died at 10 p.m. Friday, March 31, 1978, in St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J. He had been ill since Dec. 1, 1977. Born Nov. 9, 1916 in Altoona, he was the son of Ernest and Mildred (Shollar) Postlethwaite and was reared in the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Postlethwaite of Huntingdon. He married the former Anna Rohm on Oct. 21, 1944, in a ceremony performed in the First United Methodist Church of Huntingdon. Survivors include his wife: two daughters and a son, Mrs. Kenneth (Sarah) Jerina of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Jeffrey (Dorothy) Pitts of White Hall, Md., and Preston M. Postlethwaite, Jr., of Morristown, N.J. In addition, there are two grandchildren; three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Howard (Jane) Hummel and Mrs. Fred (Elizabeth) Shafer, both of Huntingdon, Mrs. Alfred (Virginia) Replogle, Altoona, and Frederick R. Postlethwaite of Boco Roton, Fla., and an aunt, Mrs. Dorothy Madigan of Huntingdon. Mr. Postlethwaite belonged to the Presbyterian Church on the Green, Morristown, N.J. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the Asiatic Theatre of Operations. He had been employed with the Wagner Electric Corp., Parsippany, N.J. for 40 years and was senior vice president of the corporation in charge of manufacturing and services. He was a member of the National Electrical Manufacturing Association and a member of the National Association of Purchasing Management. Educated in the Huntingdon public schools, he graduated from Huntingdon High School in the Class of 1935. He earned a degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Relatives and friends will gather at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, Huntingdon, at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, to go to Riverview Cemetery for graveside services at 1 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Harold G. Williams, Jr., of First United Presbyterian Church, Huntingdon, and interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery.
