QUIEN Word was received in Huntingdon on Monday evening that Mrs. J. R. Quien of 400 Mifflin street had died at the home of her sister, Mrs. R. C. Schowerer, in Philadelphia, from the effects of Spanish influenza and pneumonia. Mrs. Quien and her little daughter, Mary Margaret, left Huntingdon on Oct. 1, to visit friends and relatives in Philadelphia and Elizabeth, N.J. Mrs. Quien came to Huntingdon as a bride about five years ago, where she has since endeared herself to a wide circle of friends who will be very sorry to learn of her sudden death. Besides her husband and little daughter, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Walsh, of Elizabeth, N.J., and by several brothers and sisters in that same locality. Interment will be made at Elizabeth, N.J. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Morning, October 17, 1918
