REED Mrs. Mazie Leona Reed died at the home of Mrs. Creswell in South Huntingdon on Tuesday, Oct. 15th, at 1.10 p.m. from the effects of Spanish influenza and pneumonia. She was the daughter of Thomas and Zella Hardy, (the latter deceased), of Burnham, and was born in Tyrone on Nov. 7, 1844, being aged at time of death 73 years, 11 months and 8 days. She is survived by her husband, her father, Thomas Hardy, and by the following brothers and sisters: Gordon and Clarence, both in the service in France; Boyd and Thomas, both of Osceola Mills; Miss Evelyn Hardy, of Burnham; Olive Hardy, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Howard Vaughn, of Osceola Mills, and her grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Benson, of Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted at Tyrone on Thursday by the Rev. F. B. Mousely, with interment in the Tyrone cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Saturday Morning, October 19, 1918
