Fatal Accident of Which a Centre County Woman Was the Victim. The following account of a fatal accident is sent the Tribune by its Tyrone correspondent: Mrs. Clinton W. Rider, of near Marengo, Centre county, as in town yesterday with a two-horse team and a boy, Arthur Ellenberger, driving. On the way home they stopped at the watering trough at Grant's farm, some four miles from Tyrone, to water the horses. To enable one of the horses to drink the boy had taken the bit out of its mouth, and the horses started before it could be replaced, and in pulling on the lines to check the horses they ran on an embankment, upsetting the wagon. Mrs. Rider was thrown out and struck on her head, breaking her neck, killing her instantly. This occurred about 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Dr. G. W. Burket and Dr. W. M. Lowrie hastily drove to the place of accident, but their services were not required. Mrs. Rider was a sister-in-law of J. A. C. Rider, of this place. The remains were taken to the Grant farm house. John, William and Edward Lower, of Tyrone, are brothers of Mrs. Rider. Mrs. Rider was aged about 35 years and was a daughter of Zachariah Lower, of Warriorsmark.
