Rinker, 78, Orbisonia, Pa., died Saturday, October 14, 2000 at the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, where she had been a resident for the past two months. Private memorial services were held Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia with Pastor David Ort officiating. Interment was made in the IOOF Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace. Born Jan. 1, 1922 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co., she was the daughter of the late James McKinley and Esther (Barger) App. She was united in marriage to Max E. Rinker on July 22, 1941 at Winchester, Va. Mr. Rinker preceded her in death on June 22, 1982. Surviving are the following children: a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Brenda) Clark, Rockhill Furnace; a son, Terry L. "Skip" Rinker, Orbisonia; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Peggy Potts, Orbisonia. Mrs. Rinker was preceded in death by a grandson. She retired in 1988 from Southern Huntingdon County School District after 15 years of service as a secretary. Mrs. Rinker was a member of the Rockhill Church of the Brethren.
