C. Blair Memorial Hospital on July 1, 1944. He had been ill for two months and had been a patient in the hospital for one week. He was born in Ryde on August 18, 1886, the son of Joseph H. and Ida Lauver Rinker. On October 27, 1910, he was united in marriage to Sarah Blanche Fisher at Huntingdon. Surviving are his father, Joseph H. Rinker, his widow, Mrs. Sarah Rinker, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Evelyn Horn, Harry L. Rinker, and Oceal M. Rinker, all of Huntingdon; William G. Rinker, New Germantown; Elwood C. Rinker, somewhere in the South Pacific; Pvt. Merrill J. Rinker, who recently received his medical discharge from the service after a splendid record in North Africa; and Pvt. Melvin Rinker, serving in India. One grandchild, Terry Rinker, and these brothers and sisters also survive: Norman Rinker, Altoona; Joseph Rinker, Mount Union; Fred Rinker, Mill Creek; Ray Rinker, Piney Ridge; James Rinker, Harrisburg; Mrs. Ella Ellenberger and Mrs. Daisy Donaldson, both of Mill Creek; and Mrs. Nora Dysart, Huntingdon. Mrs. And Mrs. Rinker lived for a number of years at Piney Ridge where he was engaged in farming. They later established their home in Mount Union, Mr. Rinker being employed by the North American Refractories Company at that place. They moved to New Germantown about three years ago. Mr. Rinker was a member of the Piney Ridge Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held at two o'clock on Tuesday from the Clark funeral home, the Rev. M. S. Sharpe, pastor of the Lutheran Church, officiating. The Daily News, Huntingdon, Monday, July 3, 1944
