Roher Fred Brown Roher, 84, of RD1 Huntingdon, died at 10:35 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2002, at the Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown. Funeral services were held March 16 at the Immanuel Bible Church, RD Three Springs, with Rev. Steve Heaster officiating. Interment was made in Cherry Grove Cemetery, RD Three Springs. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Born March 19, 1917, in Three Springs, he was the son of the late Joshua and Olive (Lane) Roher. He was married to Vera Ellen Whitsel on Oct. 20, 1941. Mrs. Roher preceded him in death on June 3, 1993. He is survived by three sons and three daughters: Robert Roher of Blanchard, Okla.; Mrs. George (Naomi) Winnick, Three Springs Mrs. James (Dolores) Stetchock, Cassville; Scott Roher, Three Springs; Rodney Roher, Three Springs; and Brenda Johnson, Cheyenne, Wyo. A nephew, Rory Whitsel of Mapleton, was reared in the home. He is survived by two sisters: Clema Nead of Three Springs and Martha Hamilton of Mount Union; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. One brother, Melvin Roher, preceded him in death. He was a charter member of the Immanuel Bible Church, RD Three Springs. Mr. Roher was a Sunday school teacher at the church for a number of years. He retired from Reliable Cleaners, Huntingdon, in 1995. In his early years, he had worked in the coal mines and also at lumbering.
