Rohrer, age 88, of Hockessin, DE, formerly of Claymont, DE and New Castle, DE, died on Sunday, January 11,2009, at her residence. Funeral service was held Wednesday, January 14, 2009, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Entombment will follow in the adjoining mausoleum. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory, Wilmington, DE. She was born in Mount Union, on July 7, 1920, and she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Myers. Mrs. Rohrer is survived by son, Jon S. Rohrer of Claymont, DE; son, W. Sean Rohrer of Wilmington, DE; and daughter, Marianne Hancock of Reidsville, NC; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford W. Rohrer, a son, Larry W. Rohrer, and a daughter, Judith A. Rohrer. Active in her community, Mrs. Rohrer was a longtime member of the Singerly Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Pocohantas Club, both in Elkton, MD. She enjoyed many types of collectibles, particularly frog figurines. She was employed for 26 years with the Wilmington Trust Company before her retirement as a supervisor in 1980. She had previously worked for Three Little Bakers for 10 years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christiana Fire Company, P.O.
