Rupert Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Rupert, wife of J. C. Rupert, of 31 West Halley street, Mount Union, passed away at her late home on Tuesday night, October 3, 1939, at 11:15 o'clock. Mrs. Rupert was born in Clay township, Huntingdon county, November 23, 1881, hence she was aged at the time of death 57 years, 10 months and 10 days. She was a daughter of E. Keim Roher and Elizabeth (Greenland) Roher, both deceased. She was united in marriage to J. C. Rupert on June 24, 1897, at Shirleysburg by Rev. James R. Lane. Mrs. Rupert was a consistent member of the Church of the Brethren in Hill Valley. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Emma J. Herrington, of Mount Union. Also surviving are four grandchildren, and the following brothers: Scott Roher, of California; H. C. Roher, of Los Angeles, Cal.; N. E. Roher, of Ocean Lake, Oregon, and R. B. Roher, of Orbisonia. Arrangements for the time of the funeral have not been completed pending word from the brothers in the western states. The services will be held at Cherry Grove Church of God in Clay township. Interment will be made in the Cherry Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the Rupert home, 31 West Halley street, Mount Union, after Thursday forenoon at 10 o'clock. Greene's funeral service.
