C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 10, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Rev. David Hamilton and Pastor George Rockwell officiating. Interment was made in Jordan Cemetery, Orbisonia. She was born December 18, 1927 in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Goldie (Lowry) Booher. She was married to Clarence D. Sample on July 16, 1946. Mr. Sample preceded her in death on November 20, 1985. Mrs. Sample is survived by two sons and one daughter: Kenneth Sample and wife Vickie, of Shirleysburg, Jerry Sample and wife Mary, of Upper Strasburg, and Donna Walker and companion Jerry Whitsel of Shirleysburg. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Arlene Peck of Cathlamet, Washington and Doris Snyder of North Tonawanda, NY. Three brothers, Ed, Melvin and Clarence, a sister, Dorothy Hann and two infant sisters, Myrtle and Lillian are deceased. Mrs. Sample was an active member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Orbisonia.
