SHAFER.

  John Shafer, aged 12 years, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. William 
Shafer, of Sixth street, died at 12:45 o'clock last Saturday morning, 
of diphtheria.  Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock on Sunday 
morning, Rev. D. E. Master officiating.  Interment in Riverview 
cemetery.
