Emma Sheets 

  Emma Isabel Sheets, 87, a resident of the Shirley Home for the Aged, 
Shirleysburg and formerly of Blacklog Valley Road, died at 1:15 p.m., 
Tuesday, August 12 at the Huntingdon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 
Huntingdon.
  Funeral services were held on Friday, August 18 at the Martin R. 
Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia with Rev. Jack Lancaster and Rev, George 
"Buddy" Baird officiating. Interment was made in IOOF Cemetery, 
Rockhill Furnace.
  She was born January 5, 1919 in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, 
she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Helen (Wrigley) Snyder.
  Mrs. Sheets was united in marriage to Robert J. Sheets on January 29, 
1940by Rev. W. H. Sowash at Huntingdon. Mr. Sheet preceded her in death 
on March5, 1992.
  She is survived by a son, Robert W. Sheets and wife, Annette of 
Ridgley, MD and two daughters, Alice Lancaster and husband,
  Eugene of Blacklog Valley, and Sara Knepp and husband, Robert of 
Orbisonia.  There are nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, 
and one great-great grandson.
  Mrs. Sheets is also survived by two brothers: Alfred Snyder of 
Olanta, PA and Gerald Snyder of Orbisonia.
  She was preceded in death by four brothers, James, John, Ray, and 
Charles and a sister, Florence.
  Mrs. Sheets was a graduate of Orbisonia High School Class of 1937.
  She was primarily a homemaker. She enjoyed babysitting and over the 
years helped her husband with farming and sawmilling.
  Mrs. Sheets was a member of the Huntingdon County Farm Women Society 
Group II.
  She was a member of the Valley Point Church of the Brethren, where 
she served on the church board, was a choir member and was an Assistant 
Sunday School Secretary.
