SHEHAN Hazel Margaret Shehan, who resided at RD 2, box 396, Three Springs, died at home on Sunday, October 22. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 25 at the Robert Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. Officiating was Pastor Steve Heaster and interment was made in the Three Springs Cemetery. She was born in Three Springs and the daughter of the late Scott and Inez (Starr) Wible. Mrs. Shehan was married to Thomas R. Shehan, who preceded her in death on September 23, 1996. The following eight children survive: Dorothy Plafcan and husband George of Danville; Fred Shehan and wife Frances of Three Springs; Carl Shehan and wife Patti of Shirleysburg; Jack Shehan and wife Annette of Bear, DE; Judy Dyer and husband John of Fairfax Station, VA; Sally Richards and husband Gale Gearhart of Three Springs; Ted Shehan and wife Virginia of Waynesboro; Cathy Shehan of Three Springs. There are 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great- great-granddaughter. Also a brother survives: Harold Wible and wife Dorothy of Three Springs. Mrs. Shehan was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Shehan; a sister, Edna Wible and a brother, Jesse Wible. She was a homemaker and a graduate of Saltillo High School. Mrs. Shehan was interested in poetry and especially enjoyed writing it. She enjoyed playing the guitar, walking in the woods, and eating out even though she was an excellent cook, and she loved her cat, "Willie."
