Daniel Shellenberger, an old-time farmer of Warriorsmark township, died at his home near the Cross Roads Sunday morning, November 2, at 3 o'clock, of kidney troubles. Born March 2, 1834, he had in life encompassed 56 years and 8 months, leaving to survive him his wife, Elizabeth, and son, Levy, of East Tyrone, and daughter, Miss Ella, who made her home with her parents, also Brothers William, of Tyrone, and James, of Altoona. Funeral service will be held at the late home this morning at 9 o'clock, to be conducted, on account of the illness of Rev. J. W. Ely, by Rev. George Leidy. Interment in the cemetery at this place. Mr. Shellenberger was one of our good, substantial citizens and his early demise is to be regretted and his memory will be revered by many friends.
