RECENT DEATHS.

BLAIR BARTON SHORE

  Barton Blair Shore, the youngest son of the late Joseph and Catherine 
Shore, deceased, was born in Springfield Township, Huntingdon County, 
August 18, 1855, and died at his home on Main Street at 3:15 o'clock 
Tuesday morning of tuberculosis.  
  Mr. Shore was united in marriage to Miss Mary Dell March 19, 1885.  
To them were born three children.  The eldest, a daughter, died in 
infancy.  Two sons, Charles and Blair and the mother survive.  He is 
also survived by a brother Ephraim, of Rosebud, Pa., and two sisters, 
Mrs. Jane Booth, of Springfield Township, and Mrs. Rachel Masemore, of 
Clay Township. 
  The death of Barton Shore is a loss to the community and the removal 
of a citizen whose loss will be keenly felt.  Always hospitable and 
pleasant and in his quiet unassuming way made friends with everyone who 
knew him.  A host of friends extend sympathy to his sorrowing family 
and friends.
  Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at 12:30 o'clock 
last Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Holtzman, assisted by Rev. Ake, after 
which interment was made in Bowman's Chapel Cemetery.
