SCOTT SHORE, A well known and life long resident of Mapleton, died in the J. C. Blair Memorial hospital at Huntingdon, Saturday afternoon, July 27, at 2 o'clock, of a complication of diseases after two weeks' illness. He was born in Huntingdon county on June 9, 1861. He was united in marriage on Sept. 30, 1884, to Miss Mary Kinkead of Mapleton, who survives with the following children: Lodenia, wife of G. M. Querry of Altoona; Marie, wife of B. E. Dell of Mapleton; Elda, wife of Mark N. Linch of Washington, D.C., and Miss Emily at home. Two sons, Howard A. and Emory S. died a number of years ago. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is also survived by two half- brothers and one half-sister, Albert B. and Ellis F. Baker of Latrobe and Mrs. Jennie Hooper of Mapleton. He was a member of the Methodist church of Mapleton, also Mapleton lodge No. 468, I.O.O.F. Funeral services will be held from his late home in Mapleton on Tuesday afternoon, July 30, at 2 o'clock in charge of his pastor, Rev. L. Vance Green. Interment will be made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Mapleton. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., July 29, 1929
