Mrs. Annie Simpson, of Mill Creek, Huntingdon county, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Abram Westbrook, in Philadelphia, Monday last, aged nearly 89 years. She went to Philadelphia last October, and had been in failing health ever since. Deceased was the wife of James Simpson, who died about twenty-five years ago, and was the mother of six sons and two daughters, who survive her: James, William and Mattie, who reside in Illinois; David, John, George W., and Andrew, of Mill Creek; and Mrs. Abram Westbrook, of Philadelphia. She was also an aunt of Dr. E. E, D. S., J. D., and D. L. Goodman, of this city. She was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years, and a highly respected, useful Christian lady. The funeral services will be held at Mill Creek, this morning at 10 o'clock, and interment will take place in the Goodman cemetery on the Ridges. Altoona Tribune, February 7, 1889
