Sipe, 79, a resident of Porter Township, Huntingdon, R. R. 1, for 52 years and most recently a resident of The Homestead at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, went to be with her Lord at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Aug. 8, 1926, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Ethel (Parks) Rudy. She was united in marriage to Clifton Sipe Sept. 14, 1946, in the 15th Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. R. A. Zimmerman. Mr. Sipe preceded her in death Oct. 1, 1998. Mrs. Sipe is survived by a daughter and son, Patricia (Sipe) Mark and husband, Terry; and John Siipe, all of Huntingdon, R. R. 1. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Shana Mark-Hood and husband, Andrew, New Holland; Stephanie (Sipe) Flaherty and husband, Dan, Bridgewater, Mass.; and Alisha (Mark) Bair and husband, Nathan, Huntingdon; and three great-grandchildren, Eric Hood, Jaden Hood and Ty Mark Bair. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Clifton Mark. Mrs. Sipe was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, McConnellstown. She attended Huntingdon public schools and was a 1944 graduate of Huntingdon High School. She retired in 1988 from the Soil Conservation Service, Huntingdon, after 18 years of service. Mrs. Sipe enjoyed reading, crafts, flower gardening and loved being with her family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon, with the Rev. Lou Zannino officiating. Interment will be made in the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 9, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Sipe to the Heritage Baptist Church, P. S. Box 68, McConnellstown, PA 16660 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
