Mr. Smith was well known in Huntingdon, and he spent his weekends in Huntingdon, over a period of years, at the Reed home, at 309 Allegheny Street. He was a member of the Huntingdon Lodge of Elks. He presented a huge American flag to the Elks Home, and on all patriotic holidays the flag drapes the front of the home. Details of his death could not be learned, but it is understood that he came from his work in the offices of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company at Harrisburg yesterday afternoon and complained of severe, pains in his stomach. Later in the evening, he was taken to the Harrisburg Hospital, where he died at 6:20 this Thursday morning. Arrangements for the funeral service have not been completed.
