The Tomb.

SMITH. - Mrs. Nancy G., wife of Amos L. Smith, died, after a brief 
illness, on the 10th inst., in Cass township, aged 55 years, 8 months 
and 24 days.
  Deceased was a daughter of Abraham Mierley, deceased, late of Cass 
township.  She was an excellent wife and mother, a kind neighbor, and 
for many years a consistent member of the church.  Her death was a 
grand victory, occurring just two weeks after her return from an 
extended visit to Kansas.  She leaves a greatly afflicted husband, six 
daughters and five sons surviving.  Her remains were interred on the 
12th inst., in the cemetery at Bowman's chapel, in the presence of the 
largest assembly ever gathered at that place, showing their 
appreciation of the deceased.
