CHESTER E. SNYDER

  Chester E. Snyder, of Akron, a native of Huntingdon County, died 
Tuesday morning, April 4, 1978, in Akron General Hospital following an 
extended illness. He was 58.
  The deceased was employed by Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and he 
had helped direct the establishment and operation of the firm's rubber 
plantations in Liberia.
  He was a graduate of Huntingdon Area High School and Penn State.
  In addition to his wife, the former Helen Fitzgerald of Huntingdon, 
he is survived by one daughter, Karen, a student at Bowling Green 
College.

tomorrow's paper.
