Walter Snyder Sportsman, Insurance Agent Dies A retired Huntingdon area insurance executive and well known sportsman, J. Walter Snyder of Taylor Highlands, Huntingdon, died Saturday afternoon, November 3, 1973, while hunting in the Martins Gap area of Miller Township, Huntingdon County. Snyder's death was estimated at between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Saturday. He had apparently suffered a heart seizure. Born 7/29/1904 in Juniata Township, he was a son of William U. G. and Florence (David) Snyder. He was united in marriage to Katherine Ryan on August 1, 1934 at the First Methodist Church in Huntingdon. Surviving are his wife; a son, J. Bradford Snyder of Mars, and a daughter, Mrs. William (Ann) Hess of Huntingdon. There are two grandchildren. Two brothers survive: W. Ernest Snyder of Huntingdon R. D. 3 and J.
