D., passed away at his home on Sunday evening, October 5, 1947, at 5:30 o'clock. Death came after a lengthy illness. He was born July 25, 1890, in Germany Valley, a son of William I. and Anna Eliza (Everett) Snyder. He was united in marriage to Helen May Wrigley on Oct, 27, 1810, at Richmond, Indiana. Surviving are his wife and the following children: James W. Snyder of Rockhill Furnace; John W. Snyder of Shippensburg; Alfred I. Snyder of Orbisonia; Emma (Mrs. Robert Sheets) and Ray J. Snyder, both of Orbisonia R. D.; Clarence, Charles and Gerald Snyder, all at home. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and a brother and two sisters, George Snyder of Shirleysburg R. D., Mrs. Isabella Nearhood of Three Springs R. D. and Mrs. Mildred Wilson of Mount Union R. D. Mr. Snyder was a member of the Wakefield Chapel Methodist Church in Germany Valley. By occupation Mr. Snyder was a farmer, having moved to his present farm in 1940. Prior to that time he was employed for a number of years at the brick plants in Mount Union. Funeral services will be held at Ott's funeral home In Orbisonia on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Don Hoffman, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene at Rockhill Furnace. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Rockhill Furnace will be directed by Ott's funeral service. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.
