Mr. Spangler resided at Mapleton and was a prominent contractor. He was born in Berks county on Sept. 6, 1859, the son of Harrison and Eliza Spangler and was aged 50 years, 2 months and 9 days. He constructed a number of the newer homes in Mapleton and was a prominent resident of the town. Surviving are the widow and two children, Harold and Edward, all at Mapleton. The remains were prepared for burial by Funeral Director Otto G. Gilden and taken to Mapleton for the funeral and interment. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, November 18, 1918
