  Samuel Sprankle, a farmer of Warriorsmark, while fording the river 
with two horses at Schoenberger's Ford on Friday afternoon was drowned 
with both horses.  Mr. Sprankle had been to Tyrone, using his sled and 
on his way home thought he would ford the river at the Schoenberg ford, 
although this was not necessary.  The river had risen considerably on 
account of the recent rains and he evidently had not calculated its 
depth.
