Born Aug. 14, 1972, in Connecticut, she was a daughter of Patrick Charette of Maine and Susan Luke of Altoona. She was united in marriage to Mark Spyker, who survives at their home. Mrs. Spyker is also survived by a son and stepdaughter, Patrick Spyker and Brittni Spyker, both at home; and grandparents, Edmund and Winifred Ouellette, Connecticut. Reared in Bellwood, Blair County, she was a 1991 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She was an active member of the Huntingdon Horsemen club. Mrs. Spyker worked as a second generation dog groomer. Whether enjoying her family, having a good time with friends or riding her beloved horses, she always enjoyed life and deeply cherished those within her circle. She was noble, humorous and affectionate. Her driving force throughout life was to live with herself and take full responsibility of her own actions without relying on others. She always treated people with respect and dignity and exemplified warmth, vitality, vivaciousness, cheerfulness and loyalty to all that held her interest. Her strong will to live and be with those that she loved was with her until the end. Her passion for life has become an indelible and treasured memory for her loved ones. Friends are invited to join her family in a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at 3510 Cold Springs Road, Huntingdon. Tyrone Daily Herald, June 23, 2006
