The wife and one small daughter, Mary Jane, survive. Deceased was connected with the E. A. Beaver wholesale grocers, Mount Union, Penna. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Morning, October 24, 1918 CHARLES C. STAIR Charles Chalmer Stair died in the Blair Memorial hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 23rd at 8.20 a.m. from the effects of Spanish influenza and pneumonia. He was the son of Maud Stair, deceased, and was aged at time of death 27 years, 6 months and 19 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Beatrice Mechan, of Tyrone, on July 17, 1917, who survives him with one child, aged about three months. He is also survived by two brothers: William Stair, of Frostburg, Maryland, and Harry Stair, of Altoona. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic church. The funeral service was conducted on Friday from the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Fannie Myers, of 746 Penn street, by the Rev. Father Hackett, with interment in the Catholic cemetery.
