Stewart died in Union Furnace on January 20, 1908. His death was caused by catarrh of the stomach. His burial was at Graysville, Pa. The services were conducted by Rev. Gray, of Birmingham. He was aged 58 years. He was born near Burnt Cabins, Pa. in the neighborhood of the Fairview school house. As a boy, he was a member of Company K., 22nd Pennsylvania Cavalry. His mother was Mrs. Hetty Long. He was married to a Miss Snyder, a sister of D. S. Snyder, Esq. of Norrace, [Huntingdon County] Pa. Transcribers Notes: This is from a Mt. Union area newspaper. I am not related to this family. I found several newspaper obits in an old family bible. The obit has been transcribed exactly as the newspaper clipping was printed.
