  Mary E., wife of D. W. Stewart, of Birmingham, died at 8 o'clock, 
Wednesday afternoon, July 9, of heart trouble, aged 42 years, 5 months 
and 9 days. Her maiden name was Mary E. Weight and she was born in 
Sinking Valley. Surviving are her husband and six children; and four 
children preceded her to the grave. She also leaves three brothers and 
two sisters: John and Abram Weight and Mrs. Annie Focht, of Clover 
Creek; Mrs. Sarah Baker and James Weight, of Birmingham. She was for 
years a member of the United Brethren church. The funeral services at 4 
o'clock Friday afternoon will be held in the Presbyterian church at 
Birmingham where interment will be made.
