Stinson Mrs. Myrtle Julia Stinson of Broad Top City died in New Kensington on Friday, November 24, 1961, at 12:30 p.m. Mrs. Stinson fell and fractured a hip on September 19 of this year. She had been making her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Carl Stinson of New Kensington for the past several months. Her residence had been with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Brinton Stinson of Broad Top City. She was born September 7, 1874, at Six Mile Run, a daughter of Cornelius and Eleanor (Drenning) Foor. She was married to William T. Stinson on October 2, 1899, at Six Mile Run and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1940. Surviving are six sons: Edgar Stinson of Coalmont, John and Carl Stinson of New Kensington, James Stinson of Defiance, Owen Stinson of Wood and Brinton Stinson of Broad Top City. Also surviving is one stepdaughter, Mrs. Ida Maines of Saxton. There are 14 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Stinson was a member of the Church of God of Broad Top City. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 26, at 2:30 p.m. from the Church of God at Broad Top City. The Reverend Ralph Tones will officiate. Interment will be made in the IOOF Cemetery at Broad Top City. Friends are being received at the Masood Funeral Chapel in Saxton until 9 a.m. on Sunday and then at the church after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday until the hour for the service.
