Stoner, 56, of 1350 Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown, died at 12:44 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. He death was unexpected. Funeral services were held Feb. 16 at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. Officiating were Rev. John Traxler and Pastor Robert Brown Sr. Interment was in the Mount Union Cemetery. Born Sept. 17, 1945, in Mount Union, he was a son of Mary (Taylor) Stoner of McVeytown and the late Charles Stoner. He married Sandra "Sandy" (Cramer) Brouillette Stoner on March 11, 1983, at the Greenwood United Methodist Church by Rev. Glenn Barner. She survives along with his mother and the following children: Sherry A. Baxter of McVeytown, Tammy S. Stoner of Mount Union, Randy L. Stoner of McVeytown, Michael C. Brouillette of York and Jason T. Brouillette of McVeytown. Four grandchildren also survive. Mr. Stoner is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: James Stoner of McVeytown, Ronald Stoner of Silverford Heights, Mount Union, Gary Stoner of Mount Union, Joan Fleck of Philipsburg and Patti Miller of McVeytown. He was a member of the Newton Hamilton Methodist Church. He graduated in 1965 from Captain Jack High School. He was certified in air conditioning and refrigeration and was also certified by the Ford Motor Company as an automobile technician. He owned and operated, with his wife, Stoner's Building and Contracting in McVeytown and Stoner's Automotive Center in McVeytown. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, antiques and coin collecting.
