Born March 5, 1949 in Huntingdon, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Wilber S. and Pauline Patterson Waite. On May 13, 1977, she married James Marlin Trostle, who survives. They were married in Virginia Beach, Va., by the Rev. Charles Yaple at the Nemo United Methodist Church. She attended Juniata Valley School and graduated from Huntingdon High School. She was a member of the Huntingdon County Daughters of the American Revolution where she served as their Historian. She was also a member of the Tyrone Eastern Star Chapter 288, Huntingdon County Art League and Perry County Historians. She attended the Spruce Creek United Methodist Church for 54 years and recently became a member of Gatesburg Lutheran Church in 2006. She was an avid painter, historian and the author of the book, "The Wacht/Wecht/Weight/Waite Family History". She loved spending time with her family, especially during the Christmas season. She loved to watch wildlife, especially rabbits. She also had a love of hunting. In the early 1990s, she went on an African safari with her husband, James, where she bagged many animals. She is survived by her children, Missie Ginther and husband, Chris, of Petersburg; Thomas Stahl and wife, Jennifer and Alice Brooks and husband, J.D. of Warriors Mark. Also surviving are her sisters, Darlene Kurtz, Connie Iddings and Maxine Bowser all of Spruce Creek, Donna Schandelmeier of Bellwood and Patricia Spyker of Huntingdon; her grandchildren: Valerie McCabe, Victoria Brooks, Lily, Joel, Noah and Ethan Ginther and Kennedy Stahl and her great-grandchildren Gauge, Carter and Richie. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters Alice Gill, Shirley Waite, Beverly Caracciolo and Norma Waite. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2007 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Gatesburg Lutheran Church with the Rev. Susan Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Gatesburg Cemetery.
