Unger, 65, of Mapleton, Pa., died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000 at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were under the direction of the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville. Born Sept. 12, 1935 in Quincy Twp., Franklin County, he was the son of the late Harry P. Unger and Zaida (Shaffer) Unger who survives at Waynesboro, Pa. He was united in marriage to June A. Hardy who survives at their home. Surviving are the following children: Wanda Gearhart, Newton Hamilton; Harry P. Unger, Tarena Snyder and Michael Unger all of Mapleton and six grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Lois Baker, Cascade, Md. Mr. Unger was of the Protestant faith. During his lifetime he was employed as a school bus driver at the Mount Union Area School District until retirement in 1998. The Valley Log, Orbisonia, PA, November 15, 2000
