  Joseph H. Waite, the veteran auctioneer, and one of the oldest and 
most highly respected citizens of Warriorsmark valley, died of pleurisy 
at five o'clock yesterday at his home.  Mr. Waite was born at Arch 
Springs, Blair county on October 10, 1820, making his age 87 years 3 
months and 8 days.  He is survived by the following children: A.A.K. 
Waite, G. C. Waite, Mrs. J. H. Mattern and Mrs. I. S. Buck, 
Warriorsmark, S. B. Waite, Spruce Creek; J. L. Waite, Cartersville, 
Georgia and H. H. Waite, of Huntingdon.  He is also survived by the 
following brother and sister: Benjamin F. Waite, Adelphia, Ohio, and 
Mrs. Rebecca Fisher, of York county.
