WILBUR S. WAITE

Of Spruce Creek, was dead on arrival at Bloomsburg Hospital yesterday, 
Sept. 26, 1975. Mr. Waite retired from the Pennsylvania Department of 
Transportation in 1974. He was born Aug. 9, 1909, at Union Furnace, a 
son of Ernest and Hazel (Moffett) Waite, and married Pauline Patterson 
on Aug. 8, 1929, in Huntingdon. Surviving are his wife, seven 
daughters, Alice Gill, Darlene Kurtz, Connie Iddings, Maxine Bowser and 
Vickie Stahl of Spruce Creek, Donna Schandelmeir of Mount Union and 
Patricia Spiker of Huntingdon; 21 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and 
a brother and sister, Eugene of Alexandria RD and Ruth Baughman of 
Huntingdon. Mr. Waite was a member of the United Methodist Church, 
Spruce Creek. He was a Navy veteran of World War I. He was a Democratic 
committeeman, and a supervisor for Spruce Creek Twp. Friends will be 
received in the Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark, after 2 p.m. tomorrow.
