Wald died at Camp Jackson, South Carolina, on Monday, Oct. 14, from the effects of Spanish influenza and pneumonia. Dr. Wald was connected with the medical corps, having enlisted in August 1917 from Mifflintown, Pa., where he had a large practice. He received a commission of First lieutenant and was called in October 1917. Lieutenant Wald was born in Norway about 28 years ago and is survived by his parents who live in Norway, and by one brother, John R. Wald, of 510 Seventeenth street, Huntingdon, Pa., who is a member of the prison labor commission. The remains were brought to Huntingdon where services were held and interment made.
