WEIGHT. - In Altoona, Nov. 20th, Mr. John H. Weight, in his 80th year. The subject of this notice came to Huntingdon county when young, and resided in it till within a few months of his death. He was a man of industrious habits, and for many years a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church; an affectionate husband, an indulgent parent, a generous friend. He was married twice. By his first wife he had nine children, three of whom survive him. She died in 1850. By his second wife he had no children. With her he lived for 30 years on her homestead in Trough Creek valley, till her death in March last. Since that time he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. S. A. Laverty, in Altoona, Pa., where he died calmly and peacefully after a short illness of lung fever, Nov. 20th. He was buried in the Altoona cemetery, Nov. 22. W.B.P.
