A. D. Smalley officiating. Interment was made in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery at Mapleton. Mrs. White, who was the widow of Harry White, died in the Lewistown Hospital at 10 p. m. Friday, Oct. 3, 1947. Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death within the past eight weeks: Mrs. Luella Rosensteel of Mount Union and her twin sister, Mrs. Lettie Ege of Wilkinsburg, and Samuel Chilcote of San Francisco, Calif. Mrs. White was one of three surviving charter members of the First Baptist Church of Mount Union and was always one of its most devoted workers. She belonged to the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. Born in Smith Valley on May 7, 1855, she was the daughter of Reuben and Nancy (Dopp) Chilcote. Her husband, Harry White, preceded her in death. Surviving are: a sister, Mrs. Julia Hillman of Wakimaw, Wash.; a brother, W. Ray Chilcote, Punxsutawney; and a number of nieces and nephews.
