He was born Jan. 12, 1887, at Petersburg, the son of William and Sara Jean (Harshbarger) Whitesel. He was married to Mae Elizabeth Sankus Dec. 20, 1906, in Huntingdon. Surviving are these children: Raymond and Leroy of Huntingdon, Mrs. Thelma Whitesel Krouse of Cambridge, Mass., and Dorothy, at home; three grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Buelah Beatty, Allison and Elsie Whitesel and Mrs. Mollie Lightner, all of Huntingdon, Jesse Whitesel of Chester and Mrs. Clara Scott of Petersburg. Three brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Whitesel was a member of the Fifteenth Street Methodist church, Huntingdon, and the Huntingdon lodge, Loyal Order of Moose.
