C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon. Funeral services were held March 5 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Rev. James Hullihen officiating. Interment was made in Monroe Valley Cemetery, RD Three Springs. Born Jan. 1, 1931, in Cromwell Township, he was the son of the late John F. and Louise B. (Runk) Whitsel. He is survived by two sisters, Nellie Morgan of RD Shirleysburg and Sue Senn of State College. One brother, Ned John Whitsel, and one infant sister preceded him in death. He was a member of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, RD Mount Union, where he had been a Sunday school teacher. He was a member and program leader of Alcoholics Anonymous for a number of years. Mr. Whitsel had worked as an electronics technician, previously working for Bendix Corp. and Philco. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Air Force.
