James Alexander, son of Attorney Clarence H. Whittaker and wife, died at their home in Smithfield on Sunday evening at 5 o'clock after two weeks illness of influenza and pneumonia. Born on December 24, 1913, he was aged at death 5 years, 1 month and 15 days. He was a bright and winsome child, and in their loss the parents have the sympathy of many friends. Besides the mourning parents, the little boy is survived by two sisters and one brother - Mary, Herbert and Martha, at home. Funeral services were held at the residence on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. R. P. Daubenspeck, following by interment in Riverview cemetery.
