FROM ALEXANDRIA.

  On Friday morning at 3 o'clock, Thompson, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. 
William Wilson, died of whooping cough, aged about 5 months.  The 
little one has been lingering with this disease since the death of his 
little twin brother Woolverton, which occurred about one month ago.  
These twins were named after Messrs. Thompson and Woolverton, the 
philanthropic founders of the new library under construction.
