Miss Winters was the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Winters, of Alexandria, and had entered the hospital as a student about four months prior to her death. She had been in charge of a number of influenza patients and in this way contracted the disease which resulted in her death. Deceased was born in Porter township on Feb. 7, 1895, being aged at time of death 22 years, 8 months and 23 days. She was a highly respected young lady and a consistent member of the Reformed church in Alexandria, a teacher in the Sunday school, a member of the missionary society; also of the Christian Endeavor and the Red Cross, and had many friends who deeply regret learning of her sudden death. She is survived by her parents, two brothers and three sisters, as follows: John M. and Harry B. Winters, in the U.S. service in France; Mrs. Anna, wife of Ralph Harnish, of Rochester, N.Y.; Miss Mary C. Winters at home, and Miss Helen M. Winters, a teacher in the Huntingdon schools. Funeral services are being conducted at her late home in Alexandria this afternoon at 2 o'clock, by the Rev. C. W. Levan, of Alexandria, and Rev. D. E. Masters, of Huntingdon, with interment in the Alexandria cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Saturday Morning, November 2, 1918
