Beverly A. Womack, 62, formerly of Mount Union and most recently of Harrisburg, died
May
died May 18, 2009, in Harrisburg.

Born Dec. 4, 1946, n New York City, she was a daughter of the late Edna Jones, who
ha
who had resided in New York City, N.Y. She came to Mount Union at an early age to
liv
to live with her late grandmother, Lucille Jones Lowery and her husband, John.

She was the last surviving member of her family. Miss Womack was a member of the 
the Bethel AME Church, Mount Union, where she was active in youth programs and serv
served as the church pianist.

She was a 1964 graduate of Captain Jack Joint High School.

Following graduation, she relocated to Harrisburg. She retired from the 
Harrisburg School district, where she had held various positions. She most 
enjoyed her time at Foose Elementary School, where the staff and students 
referred to her as “Miss Bev the Library Lady.” She was also a former employee 
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at Pinamonti’s Lottery, where she was known 
as “The Lottery Lady.”

Miss Womack was loved and will be fondly remembered by all her friends and cla
classmates. A favorite pastime was taking bus trips with her friends.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, in the M
Mount Union Cemetery, with C. Arnold McClure officiating.
