YOCUM Lorenzo Watson Yocum died at his home in Porter township near Alexandria on Thursday, April 11, at 10 a.m. from a stroke of paralysis which he sustained three days previous, and from which he never rallied. Deceased was the son of John and Mary Jane Watson Yocum and was born in Walker township, almost 63 years ago. Mr. Yocum was unmarried and was a farmer by occupation and a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He is survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Hannah Yocum, and by the following brothers and sisters: Edwin, Harry and Amos Yocum, all at home; Mrs. Amos Mountain of Huntingdon, Mrs. William Bush of Porter township, Mrs. John Coralus of near Barree, Mrs. Sim Staub of Juniata and Mrs. William Geissinger of Walker township. Funeral services were conducted at his late residence on Saturday afternoon by the Rev. R. W. Runyan followed by interment in McConnellstown cemetery.
