Zilius of 1611 Mifflin Street, Huntingdon, widow of John Zilius, died in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon on Tuesday, September 8, 1970 at 2 p.m. She had been in failing health for several years. She was born in Mattawana on August 11, 1884, a daughter of Joseph and Jane (Kaufman) Renninger. She was married to John Zilius on June 21, 1906 at Huntingdon. He preceded her in death November 16, 1945. Surviving are two children: Charles E. Zilius and Mrs. Edmund D. (Blanche) Scholey, both of Huntingdon. Mrs. Zilius was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren, Huntingdon and belonged to the King's Daughters Sunday School class of the church. She had been a resident of Huntingdon since her marriage in 1906. Private funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the convenience of the family from Brown's funeral home, Huntingdon. The Rev. Paul K. Schuler and the Rev. Paul R. Yoder will officiate. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery. It was the family's request that there be no viewing or visitation, and that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Zilius' name to the King's Daughters Sunday School class of the Stone Church of the Brethren.
