The Daily New Era, Huntingdon , PA, Tuesday 21 Oct 1914 Transcriber's note: There was a problem with the dates of the newspaper where I found this obituary. According to the microfilm records at Juniata College both the October 20 and October 21 issues were printed as October 20. For the genuine October 21 someone had crossed out 20 and wrote 21. I looked at some of the articles on both days. The edition re-labeled as the 21st had news articles dated as October 21st. The October 20th edition had news articles dated as the 20th, but none labeled as the 21st. So it seems that the re-labeling of the newspaper was done correctly. So, the newspaper that the obituary is found in is the Saturday evening edition of October 21, 1914. I visited Riverview Cemetery in November of 2006 and photographed all of the gravestones in the ZILIUS family plot. A large "family stone" was added in recent years (it looks new). On it are the names of Jacob ZILIUS and his wife Theresa ZILIUS. The inscription on the stone for Theresa ZILIUS reads "THERESA, WIFE OF JACOB ZILIUS, May 19, 1841, Oct 20, 1914." So whoever put this inscription on the stone used the correct date for her death.
