An exchange of vows in the Brandywine Methodist Church of Wilmington, Delaware, on
Sunday afternoon, 
September 15, 1946 at two-thirty o'clock united in marriage Miss Fern L. Park of
Mapleton Depot and Mr. 
Herbert J. Clifford of Dowingtown. The Rev. R.T. Thawley used the double ring
service in uniting the young 
couple in holy wedlock.  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virl F. Park of
Mapleton and the 
bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon H. Clifford of Downingtown.  The bride was
picturesque in a 
yellow winter wool dress with which she wore brown accessories.  Her corsage was of
pink and white 
rosebuds.  Mr. and Mrs. Leon Clifford, the bridegroom's parents, were the only
attendants.  Mrs. Clifford is 
a graduate of Mount Union High School in the 1945 class.  Her husband, after
graduating from Newburgh 
High School, New York, entered the Army and served for four years.  The newlyweds
are making their home
in Coatesville.
